The existing balustrade had rusted away at 2 of the posts from water pooling over the years. In these pictures you can see after welding a reinforcing place on the bottom of the balustrade and after painting it black.
But it still felt flimsy. So this time, I decided to weld an angled rod and bolt it to the slab. It began to get dark so I don’t have pictures of the other posts, but all posts were done and it looks great.

Measuring out and drilling the holes in the slab. This is hard work as there is reinforcing in the slab which I needed to drill through. After a few more holes the drill bit keeled over. I went through 3 drill bits all up for this project
